About Me:: Carlos Solorzano is a professional drummer/songwriter/producer from Southern Arizona. After spending over 15 years in the Los Angeles music scene he headed to the Tucson area to raise a family and start a new life. While in Los Angeles he played at all of the top clubs with various acts and shared the stage with other acts such as Maroon 5, Nancy Sinatra, Rick Derringer, Tierra and many others. He also appeared on the recordings of several local acts both as a band member and as a session player.

Upon moving to the Arizona desert he began to concentrate more on his own musical ventures. He now writes original drumming compositions based on world rhythms that are available for licensing. His recordings have been picked up for distribution by Peacework Music, been featured on KXCI Radio (Global Rhythm Radio) in Tucson, AZ & KAOS Radio (Spin the Globe Radio) in Olympia, WA, received an ASCAPLUS Award for songwriters and awarded him a Career Advancement Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. He has also been commissioned for original work by Universal Music through Mastersource Music Catalog.

As a performer he adapts world rhythms to the drumset and through the use of 4 way independence imitates the sound of a percussion combo. He has performed this act all over AZ in clubs, outdoor festivals, local television shows, live radio broadcasts, webcasts and in clinic settings.
